Dealership website with live inventory from your DMS or inventory tool

A dealership website is only as good as its inventory data. We pull vehicles, prices and photos from the feed your inventory-management tool or dealer management system already exports, whether that's vAuto or HomeNet from Cox Automotive or a DMS such as CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds or Dealertrack, and refresh it on a schedule so sold units disappear and new arrivals appear.

Vehicle search and results pages

Filter by make, model, year, price, mileage and body style, with sorting and saved searches that stay fast on a phone even with hundreds of vehicles.

Vehicle detail pages

Full photo galleries, specs decoded from the VIN, features, a history-report link where you provide one, and a clear price block with the disclosures below.

One inventory feed for your site and Google vehicle ads

Google vehicle ads run on an inventory feed in Merchant Center. We can generate that feed from the same data as your site, so what shoppers see on Google matches your lot.

Car dealership website ideas: what the best dealer websites do

The car dealership website examples shoppers like best are simple: find a car fast, trust the price and photos, and act from the vehicle page. For NixMar's own recent work, see our portfolio.

Search on the first screen

Make, model, price and body-style shortcuts at the top of the homepage, because most shoppers arrive ready to filter.

A consistent photo set for every car

The same angles in the same order on every vehicle, plus a walkaround video where you have one, so shoppers compare at a glance.

Trade-in value on every vehicle page

A trade-in button next to the price turns browsing into a conversation, with the vehicle the shopper was viewing attached to the lead.

Meet-the-team and reviews pages

Independent dealers win on trust: photos of your sales and service staff, how long you've served the area and links to your public reviews.

How must a Connecticut dealer advertise vehicle prices?

Connecticut regulates the prices licensed dealers advertise (C.G.S. § 14-62a), and every vehicle page, search result and ad counts. Public Act 26-24 changes the rule from October 1, 2026.

What the advertised price must include

From October 1, 2026, the advertised price must include federal tax, delivery, dealer preparation, any add-on products or services, the dealer conveyance or processing fee and any other charges. Only state or local taxes and registration fees may be left out, and the ad must say so in at least eight-point bold type.

Fees stated separately

The ad must also show, in at least eight-point bold type, the conveyance or processing fee next to the phrase "Dealer Conveyance Fee" and any add-on charges next to "Additional Fees, Charges and Costs". Quoted selling prices must include the conveyance fee and state that it is negotiable.

One setting, every page

We store your conveyance fee and disclosure text in one place, so a fee change updates every vehicle page, search result and feed at once instead of hundreds of listings by hand.

This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm your advertising with your counsel or the Connecticut DMV.

Online credit applications and the FTC Safeguards Rule

Dealers that finance or arrange financing, or lease vehicles for more than 90 days, are financial institutions under the FTC's Safeguards Rule, so the customer information in a credit application needs protecting: encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication for anyone who can access it, and oversight of the vendors that handle it. Since May 2024, a breach involving the unencrypted information of 500 or more consumers must also be reported to the FTC within 30 days of discovery.

Credit applications sent straight to your finance platform

We embed or link the secure credit application from your lender or finance platform, so Social Security numbers and income details never sit in a website database or an email inbox.

Payment calculators labeled as estimates

Payment estimates show the price, down payment, term and rate they assume and are labeled as estimates, not offers of credit.

Trade-in, test-drive and service appointment forms

  • Trade-in appraisal requests with VIN, mileage, condition and photos
  • Test-drive booking tied to a specific vehicle, so it's ready when the shopper arrives
  • Service and parts appointment requests if you run a service department
  • Every lead routed to your CRM with the vehicle it came from

Why are dealer websites so slow? Fast inventory pages that rank

Inventory pages are the heaviest pages a dealer runs: dozens of photos per car and hundreds of cars. We serve photos in modern formats at the right size, render search results on the server so Google can crawl every vehicle, and add Car and AutoDealer structured data. Our local SEO service keeps your Google Business Profile in step, and our guide explains why Core Web Vitals matter for Connecticut businesses.

Websites for independent, used-car and franchise dealers

Independent and used-car dealers get the most from a custom site because they control their own brand. Franchise stores are often tied to a manufacturer's certified website program; for them we build the tools that sit alongside it, such as a trade-in portal or an internal inventory dashboard, as custom software.

Custom dealer website vs templates and dealer website providers

A general builder is cheap but has no real inventory feed. Dealer website providers bundle templates, inventory and lead tools, typically on a monthly contract. A custom site reads the feed you already export, keeps Connecticut's price disclosures in one setting and belongs to you.

Three ways to get a dealership website. Third-party pricing varies by provider and plan.

Questions dealers ask about a new website

What website platform do car dealers use?

Franchise dealers are often tied to a provider in their manufacturer's certified website program. Independents use dealer website providers, general builders or a custom site that reads their inventory feed. Whichever you choose, check the inventory feed, credit-application security, price disclosures and who owns the site.

Can our website pull inventory from our DMS or inventory tool automatically?

Yes. We use the feed your inventory-management tool or DMS already exports, refresh it on a schedule, and remove sold vehicles automatically so shoppers only see cars you have.

What does Connecticut require in advertised vehicle prices?

Under C.G.S. § 14-62a as amended by Public Act 26-24, from October 1, 2026 the advertised price must include every charge except state or local taxes and registration fees, including the dealer conveyance or processing fee, which must also be stated separately in at least eight-point bold type.

Does the FTC Safeguards Rule apply to our website's credit application?

If you finance or arrange financing, or lease vehicles for more than 90 days, the FTC treats your dealership as a financial institution under the Safeguards Rule. We keep credit data out of the website by sending applications straight to your secure finance platform.

Can you connect our inventory to Google vehicle ads?

Yes. Google vehicle ads run on an inventory feed in Merchant Center, and we can generate that feed from the same data that powers your website so listings match.
